If you have bought pigs from us you may attend this course at the discounted price of £65.00

This is a very relaxed and informal day which gives you the chance to meet our pigs, see how they are kept, and ask as many questions as you like about Kune Kunes and how to keep them. A chance to decide if you think pig keeping is really for you. Topics covered are as follows:

  • Introduction

  • Legal Requirements

  • Housing

  • Fencing

  • Feeding

  • Breeding

  • General Health and Care

  • Handling, Injecting, Ear Tagging

  • Choosing a Pig

 

£95/day, including lunch, tea and coffee and information to take home.

We do not produce meat from our pigs and we are not commercial pig keepers,so if you're looking at going into meat production then this is probably not the course for you.

Breeding Workshop. Concentrating entirely on breeding 10.00am-4.00pm

  • Breeding advice

  • Choosing a boar

  • Hogging and Mating

  • Gestation Care

  • Farrowing down

  • Care of Piglets

  • Weaning

  • Marketing and Selling your piglets

£95 including lunch, tea and coffee and information to take home.
